(HIGH POINT, NC) – Freud America, Inc. is pleased to introduce the new Thin Kerf Premier Fusion saw blade (Item #P410T). This new blade combines the advanced technology features of the Full Kerf Premier Fusion with a thinner kerf design to enhance the performance of underpowered saws while saving on material waste. Freud’s new Thin Kerf Premier Fusion Blade requires less horsepower and feeds easier than Full Kerf blades, but there is no sacrifice in performance.

Freud’s radical, patent-pending “Fusion” tooth geometry combines a special double side grind shape with a Hi-ATB design. This unique combination produces glass smooth finish to the side of each cut and chip-free cut to the top and bottom surfaces, making the Thin Kerf Premier Fusion the ideal blade for both ripping and crosscutting applications. Equally important is a new anti-vibration design that virtually eliminates all vibration while the blade is under load, resulting in the cleanest possible cuts. Combined with Freud’s unique non-stick Perma-SHIELD™ coating for protection against corrosion, gumming and pitch build-up, this blade comes fully equipped to deliver the ultimate in cutting performance.

“Now professional and enthusiast woodworkers can enjoy the performance of our unique Premier Fusion geometry along with the benefits of a thin kerf blade,” states Russell Kohl, President and CEO of Freud America. “With the new Thin Kerf Premier Fusion Saw Blade, you can take your portable and contractor
table saws to the next level with a blade that delivers flawless cross cuts, rip cuts and sheet good cuts.”

Freud’s New Thin Kerf Premier Fusion Features Unmatched Innovation:
* Exclusive TiCo™ Hi-Density Carbide - designed and manufactured by Freud specifically for each cutting application to maximize cutting life and material finish in a variety of materials.
* Specialized “Fusion” Tooth Geometry – a patent pending mix of Hi- ATB (alternate top bevel), double side grind and an aggressive positive hook angle. Each of these elements works together to produce exacting cuts:
* Hi-ATB allows the blade to score the material while it cuts, which eliminates tear out in plywood or chipping in melamine. It also provides for crisp crosscuts.
* Double side grind – the faceting on the sides of each tooth – produces a glass smooth finish to the sidewalls of each cut. The primary grind essentially has a polishing effect.
* 18 degree positive hook angle allows for fast rates, especially in ripping.
* Perma-SHIELD® Permanent Non-Stick Coating - This metal-based coating leaves a slick surface on the blade body that reduces drag and resists pitch build up. It also has the added benefit of sealing the blade body off from corrosion. If you are working in a non-climate controlled environment like a garage or a job site, you don’t have to worry about this blade rusting.
* Next Generation Anti-Vibration Stabilizer Vents – to eliminate movement that can cause swirl marks and tear out. These reeds are laser cut into a hardened steel plate body. The result is a thin kerf blade that slices through material for perfect cuts time after time.
* Tri-Metal Brazing - consisting of copper sandwiched between two layers of silver alloy to create a stronger, more impact-resistant bond between the carbide and the bit.
