idX acquires Lancaster Industries
3/7/2011 - idX Corporation has acquired the assets of Lancaster Industries. The St. Louis, MO-based company will establish a new division in Texas.

Lancaster Industries is a custom fixture, furniture and millwork manufacturer known for superior craftsmanship and customer service. Based in Cuero, TX, near San Antonio, the company was founded 28 years ago by CEO Herb Lancaster. Lancaster will continue as the new Vice President of Manufacturing at idX San Antonio.

"I am proud of what Lancaster Industries has accomplished in the past 28 years," Lancaster commented. "As our industry continues to evolve, I'm thrilled to become part of idX Corporation, a forward-thinking company with an excellent reputation."

Lancaster added that the idX San Antonio division is hiring, and will have 35 employees at full staffing.

The 59,000-sq. ft. facility is centrally located and includes a rail spur, seven acres and state-of-the-art equipment to manufacture wood and wood veneer fixtures, furniture, and millwork. Materials include laminate, metal, solid wood, solid surface and veneers.

Lancaster has provided fixtures for such well-known retailers as Dillard's and Cabela's.
