ICFA webinar presents consumer research results
HIGH POINT, N.C. – When the economy collapsed in 2008, home furnishings retailers and manufacturers shared a foggy view of the future. Companies wondered whether Americans would spend during such an unpredictable period, especially on outdoor home furnishings.

In the midst of this uncertainty, Telescope Casual Furniture, a member of the International Casual Furnishings Association, launched a national survey to find out what shoppers were thinking, whether they would shop, how they would shop and what new behaviors they might be adopting. ICFA has invited Katherine Juckett, Telescope’s CEO, to present an overview of the survey results in a webinar on Tuesday, April 26. Titled, “Capturing Your Share of Shoppers’ Urge to Splurge,” the 2 to 3 p.m. webinar is free to ICFA members and $95 for non-members.

Among the findings is an “urge to splurge” that many consumers now share. The research includes what consumers say is most important to them when purchasing outdoor furniture. Juckett will also share information on general consumer attitudes toward spending on their homes right now.

Webinar registration is available on the ICFA website.
