Fypon leads decorative mouldings, millwork in brand study

MAUMEE, OH – For the fifth consecutive year, Fypon® has been named a leader of decorative mouldings and millwork in the 2011 Builder Brand Use Study. Fypon earned the number one ranking in the survey of builders for the categories of brand familiarity, brands used in the past two years and brands used the most in both the Decorative Mouldings & Columns: Exteriors and the Decorative Moulding/Trim/Columns: Interiors categories. Fypon synthetic millwork and trim products also achieved the number one ranking in quality in the Decorative Moulding/Trim/Columns: Interiors category.

“Builders have once again indicated their strong preference for Fypon synthetic products as interior and exterior decorative enhancements on their residential and commercial projects,” says Dave Randich, president of Therma-Tru® Corp., parent company of Fypon. “This is especially significant because it shows that builders are repeatedly selecting synthetic products over more traditional options such as wood.

“Just as Fypon’s products are known for their consistency of quality, this study showcases Fypon’s consistency over the years in providing top-quality millwork pieces to builders. Industry professionals prefer our decorative mouldings, columns and trim because they’re easy to use and help add both value and quality to their projects.”

Long known for their exceptional quality and durability, Fypon synthetic mouldings, trim and columns are the consistent choice of builders seeking products with long-lasting beauty and fast installation. The finely-crafted pieces are known for their quick “out-of-the-box and onto the house” application that allows builders to save jobsite time and labor.

“There are thousands of urethane and PVC pieces available from Fypon that allow contractors to build memorable projects,” says Randich. “Especially when creating show-stopping exteriors, we believe that low-maintenance Fypon products, combined with energy-efficient Therma-Tru doors, provide builders with the entrance solutions they need to set themselves apart in the marketplace.”

In addition to Fypon’s extensive selection of mouldings, trim and columns, the company offers louvers, gable vents, balustrade systems, E-Vent™ systems and QuickRail™ systems. The precision-molded pieces are made of a closed cell structure that prevents water penetration and absorption.

Results of the 2011 Builder Brand Use Study are being made available in the April issue of Builder magazine.
