ST. LOUIS, Jan. 7, 2011 -- Furniture Brands International (NYSE: FBN) today named Mark E. Stephens as president of Broyhill Furniture Industries, effective today. Stephens has served as Broyhill's vice president of sales and marketing since 2007. Stephens replaces Jeffrey L. Cook, who has resigned his position.

"Mark is the perfect choice to lead Broyhill today," said Furniture Brands Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ralph P. Scozzafava. "Mark and Jeff worked closely to re-energize the Broyhill brand with our dealers and with consumers. Mark also reorganized Broyhill's sales team into a more focused and effective organization. He has the experience and respect of his peers to lead Broyhill to the next stage of its storied history.
