(OTCBB: ECOB) announced today that it has signed agreements with Trussed, Inc. to produce patented Smart Components® exclusively with Red Shield™ protection in Southern California. Under the terms of the agreements, ECOB has licensed rights to Trussed, Inc.'s proprietary design software package, patented technology and executed a supply agreement. Smart Components are cutting edge pre-fabricated/Engineered wall components replacing shear walls for seismic movement in wood framed buildings. ECOB has embraced this technology not only for our local business but complements our off shore projects in places like Haiti.

Red Shield-protected lumber combined with seismic wall systems is another way ECOB is trying to teach the world how to build using lumber instead of concrete and brick. Smart Components assemblies are built in a quality control factory setting just like Red Shield coatings, setting them apart from all other framing and building companies. Smart Components are new generation Lateral Force Resisting shear wall elements. Smart pre-fabricated trussed frames and panels engineered to resist any type of lateral force applied to a building. An integration of traditional truss construction and new proprietary technology, Smart Components are manufactured using typical dimension lumber, metal connector plates and patented concentric hold-down connectors developed by Trussed, Inc. serving as a key load-transfer mechanism for the building, each Smart Component is designed to meet critical load resistance needs.
