This week CPA welcomes Corey Connors as Vice President of Policy and Communications, with primary responsibilities for the Association’s legislative, regulatory and environmental issues. Corey will serve as CPA’s lead staff on the Environmental and Public and Affairs Committee (EPAC) and the Industry Biomass Council (IBC), and will support other CPA communication, marketing and green building activities, reporting to President Tom Julia.

"This new position was created to further enhance our industry's impact on legislative and regulatory advocacy, and on product acceptance" said Julia. "Corey is a dynamic professional with an excellent record of getting results. He’s going to be a valuable addition to the CPA staff team."

Corey has over 10 years of association government affairs experience and served as Director of Legislative Relations for the American Nursery & Landscape Association in Washington, DC, for the past three years. Before that he managed government relations for the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions. He has a BS in Political Science from Clarion University and a Master of Arts in Political Management from The George Washington University.
