Century Plastics building new molding plant
SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. -- Injection molder Century Plastics Inc. will invest $3.5 million to expand at its base in Simpsonville.

The expansion will provide space for a new production line and 25 more jobs, the company said in a Dec. 6 news release.

Century Plastics now has 175 employees, producing custom molded parts for the agriculture, appliance, food service, youth furniture and pharmaceutical industries.
The expansion will cover the cost of a new 93,000-square-foot building for the firm’s Century Closures division, which specializes in caps and closures. Century will launch a new line of dispensing spout caps by the end of the first quarter of 2011. The expansion should be complete by May.
