The Association for Retail Environments announces a new tool to help boost sales due to the fact that nearly two-thirds of manufacturer members anticipate that sales won't return to pre-recession levels until 2012 or later.

Offered in association with The Manufacturing Institute and Growth Development Associates Inc. (GDA), The Growth Initiative is an online education program that enables small, medium and large manufacturers to more effectively grow their businesses by rolling out carefully designed sales campaigns.

Launching April 4, the program begins with an introductory webinar. Participants are coached through a 90-Day Campaign involving sequential online skill modules and certification tests and the application of module-specific skills in the field. A web forum provides additional campaign support, FAQs and insight.

A.R.E. members receive discounted registration rates.

In the first 90-Day Campaign, "Selling Upgrades," participants target increasing new business by 33% and tripling their pipelines.

Ensuing 90-Day Campaigns are "New Appointments & New Accounts" in July, "Create Leads, Urgency and Profitability" in October, and "People Management: Growth Culture" in January 2012.
