BAYPORT, MN — The Andersen® casement window that set the standard for performance and durability is now available prepped for replacement jobs with quick, easy installation and custom sizing to 1/8 inch.
The Andersen 400 Series Replacement Casement comes pre-drilled with through-the-jamb installation holes allowing for installation from inside or outside the home. Special replacement extension jambs preserve original alignment of trim and paint lines. It also comes without the nailing flange which is useful in brick, siding or other applications..
An install kit with each window includes screws, shims, backer rods and full instructions. Innovative, self-hanging shims are also supplied with each unit for consistent quality installation.. Backer rods provide appropriate backing for sealants and increase the durability of sealant joints.
“We’ve been making casement windows since 1932 and began making this particular window in the mid-1960s. The Andersen® 400 Series Replacement Casement is available for ordering through Intelligent Quote (iQ) software version 10.2 beginning Sept. 20, 2010. Available styles include operating units, awning style and stationary windows.
