CONOVER, NC – Specialized furniture carrier and international 3PL provider Zenith Global Logistics has relocated its Elkton, Maryland freight hub to an Aberdeen-based facility, expanding its square footage 300% and adding a full-service distribution center to that location’s capabilities.

Zenith Global Logistics Relocates and Expands Maryland HubThe new Aberdeen hub totals 88,000 square feet, and is designed to continue providing timely speed to market for high population areas throughout New England. “This new location was chosen strategically and specifically to enable our dispatching operation to deal with the latest hours of service changes required by the latest Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Compliance, Safety, Accountability rules,” explains Jack Hawn, President and CEO. “Our goal was to select a location that would ensure our drivers could consistently transport product from North Carolina to Maryland within the new driving time limits.”

“Our new Aberdeen location also allows us to provide our customers in the Northeast with full-service warehousing, including 100% traceability, 24/7 product visibility, and true FIFO inventory accountability and lot matching,” Hawn continues. “Plus, just as we do at our North Carolina, Texas, and California operations, we offer a complete range of specialized 3PL warehousing services.”

It also recently boosted its North Carolina storage and handling capacity by more than 30% when it acquired the former Boyles Furniture facility in Conover as its new corporate headquarters.
