Woodgrain Millwork Purchased Monarch Windows and Doors

Fruitland, Idaho – Woodgrain Millwork has purchased Monarch Windows and Doors, an Alabama manufacturer with a strong brand and loyal customer following across the Southeast. This acquisition increases Woodgrain Millwork’s position in the Southeast United States. In return, Monarch will gain the expertise and efficiency to compete even more aggressively in the market.

Based in Anniston, Ala., Monarch has over 203,000 square feet of production space and approximately 200 employees. The company was founded in 1888 as Jenkins Lumber Company, by Raleigh M. Jenkins, Sr. In subsequent years, the company was transformed from a lumber supply company in Birmingham to a millwork manufacturer in Anniston. The Monarch product line debuted in the early 1990s.
