Bel Air, MD – The Wood Machinery Manufacturers of America (WMMA), the national trade association for those who make machinery, cutting tools and supplies for the woodworking industry, has announced the launch of its newly redesigned website.

The website can be found at WMMA's longtime address, www.wmma.org, but has been completely redesigned with a cleaner, more updated look, and a more user-friendly layout. The site, which was updated in a year-long process with input from WMMA's Board of Directors, committees and other volunteers, contains features that make it valuable to both members of WMMA, and to those outside the woodworking industry as well. The theme, "Gateway to American Technology," carries through all features of the new site design.

Using the new site, WMMA members can instantly access information on industry events, such as the Woodworking Industry Conference (WIC) and the International Woodworking Fair (IWF). They can also learn about and volunteer for WMMA's publications, committees and task forces, and access information about awards and more. A special section of the site, accessible only to current WMMA members, contains information about membership benefits and programs. In addition, those who want to apply for membership will find all the tools they need to do so, including an application and information on membership eligibility requirements.

The WMMA Product Guide, one of the website's most essential features, allows outside users as well as those within the woodworking industry, to search for companies according to equipment and machinery type and purpose, as well as by company name, location, principal name and more. This creates new opportunities for members to grow their business, both inside the U.S. and on the export market.

"The website is extremely valuable, both to our members and to the public at large," says Board of Directors member Chris Hacker, who, as chairman of the Membership Development Committee, oversaw the redesign of the site. "We are very pleased with the way the site turned out. It is one of the most valuable member benefits WMMA can offer – and one of the best ways those outside our industry can learn more about what our association can do."
