International Interior Design Trade Fair Announces Changes

TOKYO, JAPAN  --  IFFT/InteriorLifestyle Living will take place on Oct. 17-19, 2012 at Tokyo Big Sight. IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Tokyo is an international trade fair that suggests global lifestyle ideas by showcasing a broad range of high-end interior design items including furniture, textiles, dining and kitchen products, as well as gift items from all over the world.

IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living is annually held in autumn and is the sister fair of Interior Lifestyle Tokyo held in June, which is based on Messe Frankfurt’s largest international consumer goods fair “Ambiente” and international textile fair“Heimtextil.” IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living is a leading event in the Japanese interior design industry and attracted 355 exhibitors from 15 countries/regions and 19,769 visitors from 30 countries/regions in 2011.

This year, IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living has introduced new committee members of “Creative Direction," a working group made up of four interior specialists, including  Akio Aoki – creative director, Daiki Koshiba – lifestyle producer, Dan Namura – designer and Miki Honma – journalist. The committee is also working with the sister fair, Interior Lifestyle Tokyo for the 2012 edition, with the aims to increase synergy between the two fairs as successful business platforms with new products, information, and ideas. The involvement of “Creative Direction” has enabled a renewal of the fair, further increasing its attraction worldwide.

The fair structure, one of the significant characteristics of this fair, is entirely changed and will consist seven zones: Home, Kitchen Life, Everyday, Accent, Global, Movement and Japan Style. In addition, there will be a special feature focusing on the latest business models in the interior design industry. These attractive factors will bring more visitors engaged in retail, distribution, contract business, design and architecture to the fair.

IFFT/InteriorLifestyle Living is organised by International Development Association of the Furniture Industry of Japan (IDAFIJ) and Mesago Messe Frankfurt Corp. For more information on the revamped IFFT/Interior Lifestyle Living, please visit: IFFT-InteriorLifestyleLiving.com.
