The American Ladder Institute Launches New Website

Washington, D.C. - The American Ladder Institute (ALI) announced today the official launch of its newly redesigned website, www.americanladderinstitute.org. ALI's redesigned website is dedicated to advancing ALI's mission of promoting ladder safety in the workplace and home through education, training, and development of ladder safety standards. "We're very proud of our mission in promoting ladder safety and our new website will greatly enhance those efforts," said Jeff Inks, ALI's Executive Director.

The redesigned website provides visitors with a more streamlined and accessible experience enabling them find what they are looking for quickly. ALI's information on ladder safety, ladder safety standards, and gateway to ALI's highly regarded online ladder safety training are now incorporated into a single website.

Of special note, ALI's online ladder safety training is provided free of charge in both English and Spanish. The dedicated training website, www.laddersafetytraining.org, grants access to ALI's library of four safety training modules that teach safe ladder practices, including proper techniques to select, inspect, set-up, use and care for ladders.

"ALI's Ladder Safety Training platform demonstrates our strong commitment to the safe use of all ladders by all people," said Inks. "We recognize that it's not enough to set standards and expect them to have any real impact without proper instruction and easy-to-use resources for using ladders safely." ALI's on-line training modules are a great tool for managers to train their staff and encourage a safe culture at work. "We currently have nearly 50,000 registered users and we're also very proud of that," Inks added.

In addition to ladder safety training and education, ALI also serves as secretariat for the ANSI A14 Committee on Ladder Safety which is responsible for the development of a suite of eight and soon to be nine ladder safety standards. Information on these standards is now also more easily accessible on the redesigned website. Visitors to the site and other interested parties are able to submit comments, questions, or requests for interpretations on any of the A14 ladder safety standards.

ALI's redesigned website is now a one-stop shop for ladder safety. The redesign will help all users with proper selection, care, and safe use of ladders in the workplace and at home as well as better facilitate the development, dissemination and use of ANSI A14 standards.
