Cologne – Döllken once again ranks among the exhibitors at the world’s biggest exhibition for the international furniture supplier industry.

Interzum in Cologne is held every two years alongside the Ligna exhibition for the woodworking industry in Hanover. Interzum is the most important exhibition and sector meeting point for furniture manufacturers, interior designers and refining processors. This is the fourth time that the specialists from the Surteco Group have exhibited together under one roof at a joint exhibition stand in Cologne. This year, the Surteco Team is presenting its profile under the concept of “One Stop Solutions”. They are playing to the common strength of decor solutions in uniform design harmonized perfectly with each other – from the surface to the edging, from floor to ceiling.

As the world’s leading manufacturer of thermoplastic plastic edgings and skirtings with more than 60 years of experience in extruding customer-centric solutions, Döllken defines benchmarks in Design Match and design, future-oriented joining technologies and tangible haptic surfaces. Döllken presents harmonized edgebandings made of ABS, PVC, PP and PMA in the perfectly harmonized Design Match to form an ideal fit with the latest trend decors from the Surteco Group, such as Leander Mobile, Noce Rinaldi, Artemis, Ibsen Beech, Marmo Romeo Lay and Scandic Pine. Döllken has a proven track record in producing superlative uniform matching finishes for edgebandings and boards. The Fusion-Edge is suitable for all standard and future joining technologies (Laser, HotAir, NIR and Plasma). The prize-winning Digital-Edge features the digital print edge and was granted the pro K Award 2015. The new 3D edges such as 3D Space are the new development. The result is a uniform decorative design effect for furniture and interior spaces.

Döllken presents innovations

The exhibition stand of the Surteco Group has 600 square metres of floor space and the architecture is based on the concept of “One Stop Design Solutions”. The individual companies do not present their profiles in individual sections but showcase joint exhibits in square spaces based on thematic content such as “Architecture”, “Furniture”, “Interior”, “Technology”, and “Service”. Customers are able to make a “pit stop” and find out about the pooled expertise of the specialists from Surteco: solutions from a “single source” – uniform decor and harmoniously matched designs.

Fusion-Edge – from now in ABS from the first roll available from stock

Döllken presents the innovative edgings “Fusion-Edge” and “Digital Edge” at the pit stops “Technology” and “Service”. It also displays innovative 3D edges, such as the 3D Space Edge with unrivalled depth and space effect.

The “Fusion-Edge” generates a virtually invisible and jointless union between edge and board. This is created entirely without additional hot melt adhesive. From now, all ABS edgings stocked in the Instant Edgings Programme will be supplied in all colours and decors, and widths and thicknesses as Fusion-Edge – and this is the case right from the first roll. Apart from ABS and industrial material polypropylene, PMMA edges and 3D edges will also be supplied in proven Fusion-Edge quality with premium function layer.

The Instant Edging Programme from Döllken includes more than 1,300 colours and decors supplied from stock. They are available in different dimensions (widths and thicknesses). This presents a range of more than 4,000 articles matching more than 10,000 references of international board manufacturers that are supplied from stock. The programme is primarily targeted at artisan carpenter craftsmen and service is a top priority for the refining manufacturer. The extensive stock range of Döllken facilitates supply within 24 hours from a minimum order quantity of just one meter. “Döllken Express Production” also enables each individual edge to be produced within just five working days. The system demonstrates that Döllken is responding to the needs of the market which demands cost-effective solutions for small batch sizes and short delivery times.

Another feature is provided by the digital Edge Finder (www.kanten-finder.de) that allows you to identify the matching edging to fit the board surface with just a few clicks.

Perfect interplay in Design Match

A range of Döllken embossing designs is displayed in the Architecture Stop. Their surface textures transform any edging into a tangible experience. They are presented on a three-dimensional relief wall and the Digital-Edge has a repeat length of more than 2 metres to match the digital decors of the Group. The Digital-Edge is individual and unique. This edge can be supplied in matt to high-gloss surfaces and offers an outstanding Design Match with any surface in batches from 150 m.

The impressive cubes in different sizes made of edge and decor form the joint exhibit of the Furniture Stop, while the Interior Stop presents picture frames made of Döllken edgings in a Design Match with the decors displayed in the frames. Their visual design profile bears impressive testimony to the creative approach.

Döllken presents the Aqua-Stop-Pen as one feature to highlight the services associated with edgings. Döllken uses Aqua-Stop fluid to permanently seal the joints between furniture sections within seconds. This provides long-term protection against swellings and dirt deposits.
