Fifteen industry members from around the state of WI joined with students at Madison College recently for a sanding seminar sponsored by Stiles Machinery and 3M. Participants were exposed to the intricacies of Wide Belt Sanding by Peter Van Dyke of Stiles. On the hand sanding side, Bob Usselman of 3M demystified the art of sanding. One participant commented, “I can’t wait to get back to the shop and share what I learned with the guys. We’ve been sanding the wrong way since 1939!”
Madison College is pleased to partner with organizations like Stiles and 3M to promote continuing education for the trade. The Cabinetmaking & Millwork program hosts several seminars annually. For more information, contact Patrick Molzahn, firstname.lastname@example.org 608.246.6842
