Stiles Ironwood Equipment Available To Purchase Online

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Stiles Machinery is pleased to announce that their Ironwood line of classical woodworking machinery is now available to purchase online via the company’s website: www.stilesmachinery.com.

Stiles launched the Ironwood equipment in 2010, which opened a new market segment for the industry’s largest machinery distributor. Wood shops and elite craftsmen were the focus of the company’s sales efforts for this new line of classical machinery. Now over a year later, Stiles acknowledges that these customers are accustomed to, and prefer, online ordering. “Stiles has always prided itself on catering to our customers needs,” explained Chris Dolbow, Product Manager for Stiles, “So, it’s only natural that our first e-commerce endeavor would be the Ironwood machines.”

The Ironwood line of equipment includes jointers, planers, shapers, boring machines, as well as rip saws and cut off saws. All Ironwood products include two years of free 24/7 technical support to aid customers in gaining the maximum benefits for their investment. “We believe strongly that our commitment to supplying quality equipment, top-of-the-line support services, and value for our customers continues to help us to excel in this new segment,” said Dolbow.

The new online ordering capabilities on the Stiles website allow visitors to specify which machine(s) they are interested in, view technical specifications, obtain pricing information including estimated shipping costs, and also select accessories to complement the equipment in their shopping cart or for machinery they already own. According to Dolbow, “The shopping process is similar to common online retail outlets, so users should find it easy to navigate.”

The company expects to better serve their customers by providing e-commerce, and Stiles anticipates that approximately half of their total Ironwood orders will be placed online.
