GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Steelcase Foundation announced today a new President to lead the organization. Julie Ridenour has worked in development for both for-profit and non-profit organizations for nearly 20 years, most recently as Trust and Investment Business Development Officer for Founders Bank & Trust. "The Foundation couldn't be more pleased that Julie will be joining us as our new President. She brings strong community involvement, a demonstrated record in collaboration and excellent skills in investment oversight," said Steelcase Foundation Chair, Kate Pew Wolters.

"Our employees and founding families are quite proud of the legacy of the Steelcase Foundation. Its future depends on a broadening network and someone with a passionate connection to the needs of our communities. Julie's appointment allows us to further the significant contribution of the Foundation, as she has had such a strong network to numerous civic groups and linkage to a number of socially significant programs," said Jim Hackett, president and chief executive officer, Steelcase Inc.

Ridenour is a past member and Treasurer of the East Grand Rapids Board of Education and currently is a member of the St Mary's Health Care Board of Trustees, Mary Free Bed Hospital Board of Directors, and Habitat for Humanity, for which she serves as Secretary.
