Important recognition for SCM Group China Trading Co. Ltd. which has won the “Best Italian SME in China Panda Award” category of the “Premio Panda d’Oro - 2012 Edition” "…for the effective approach of its investments in the Chinese market in 2011 and its plans for future development in 2012."

This is a tribute to the energy, perseverance and commitment that the SCM Group has shown in this part of the world with a strong, constantly expanding market that is interested in highly innovative, high performing wood machining technologies, solutions that have become true global landmarks.

"I would like to stress," said the General Manager of the Chinese group Marco Rampichini as he received the award, "that this has been a success for 'made in Italy' technology in which the supply of the iron castings for the gear boxes on the Chinese high speed train, the 'CRH' bullet train, that our group supplies to Alstom has also played a part."

Exactly ten years after the first SCM Group company was set up in China and after a long history of business, the “Panda d’Oro 2012” award also pays tribute to SCM Group China Trading's performance over the last 36 months with an average increase in turnover of 46.5% per year.

The award was presented to Marco Rampichini on 16 June in Shanghai during a gala dinner held in the presence of the Chairman of the Italian Chamber of Commerce Franco Cutrupia, the Italian General Consul in Shanghai, Vincenzo De Luca, and the Director of the Italian Trade Commission (ICE) in Beijing, Antonino Laspina.
