Residential Construction and Remodeling Expo Premieres in October

The Residential Construction and Remodeling Expo (RCRE), which celebrates its premiere in the southern states metropolis of Atlanta from 7–9 October 2014, is a new meeting place for the international building industry established by the U.S. subsidiary of NürnbergMesse. The spectrum of products at the expo focuses on new building and remodeling of private houses and is intended for the broad target group of building planners and contractors. This event extends the NürnbergMesse Group’s existing portfolio of successful trade shows in the Building + Construction segment.

“RCRE in Atlanta enables us to develop another key market for one of our main themes,” says Wolfgang Kranz, Member of the Management Board and Executive Director International at NürnbergMesse. “Exhibitions like fensterbau/frontale or Chillventa are established and powerful brands in the international building industry – and they already have international subsidiary events in India and Russia. The Residential Construction and Remodeling Expo is a suitable addition to our Building + Construction product family, with which NürnbergMesse can develop and consolidate its presence in the USA.”

Positive future prospects

After a five-year slump, the building industry in the USA recovered appreciably last year and is meanwhile one of the driving forces in the American economy again. The signs indicate growth again especially for the private housing sector – so outstanding general conditions for launching a new trade show for building, remodeling and living. The decision to locate the event in Atlanta, the capital of the federal state of Georgia and also the headquarters of NürnbergMesse North America Inc., results from the current competitive situation in the U.S. expo market and the location advantages of the business metropolis: None of the relevant competing events are located in the South-East of the USA, but many large companies in the building industry. Thanks to direct flights to over 150 U.S. cities, Atlanta offers excellent accessibility for national exhibitors and trade visitors too, and international destinations also have outstanding connections to Atlanta’s International Airport, which is only 20 minutes away from the congress center.

Trade show and congress

The Residential Construction and Remodeling Expo (RCRE) will assemble architects, interior designers, landscape gardeners, engineers, building contractors and tradesmen in the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia/USA, for the first time from

7–9 October 2014. The aim of the trade show is to inform the international building industry about new products and services and act as a platform for professional exchange and networking. The product spectrum includes the following segments: interior finishing, sanitary engineering, air conditioning, machines and tools, exterior design, fire protection and building security. In cooperation with the top associations in the industry, NürnbergMesse North America Inc. is also organizing a congress on the first day of the event with seminars and workshops that examine current developments and trends in the building industry.
