SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- Phoenix home remodeling company, Republic West Remodeling, announced it has completed a one-of-a-kind kitchen remodel for an Arizona homeowner. The remodel transformed the homeowner’s vision for a dream kitchen into a reality.

Republic West Remodeling was selected over five other Valley contractors for the project. The scope of work involved custom cabinetry, improved functionality, custom backsplashes, a new ceiling, an added island, new paint and other enhancements. The overall design theme involved a red, white and blue Americana look.

“I knew how I wanted the kitchen to look.” shared Debbie Hamersly, “I had the design in my head; I just didn’t how to make it happen. Republic West Remodeling made it simple for me…from choosing the paint color and approving the sample doors / drawers, making decisions regarding backsplash, to locating custom glass. Republic West Remodeling made my dream kitchen a reality.”

The homeowner also had very specific requirements for the custom cabinetry. The cabinets had to provide the function of a modern kitchen, but have an aged appearance. Using the red, white and blue custom colors, the finish had to be from the early colonial period with worm holed, scratched and rubbed finishes to give the desired patriotic design.

To further enhance the look of an aged cabinet, Republic West Remodeling contacted the cabinet manufacturer and convinced them to increase the amount of rubbing and scratching. The cabinet glass, not previously seen used in kitchens before, was custom-made with chicken wire encased in it. Two different types of backsplashes were installed: one using old tin and one using an antique spotted mirror.
