Toccoa, Ga. – Osborne Wood Products, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of wooden components, recently announced the promotion of Tim Ramsey to Plant Manager. Ramsey’s new responsibilities will include managing both the production and shipping departments, auditing various lean processes, overseeing general day to day operations, and other managerial roles.

“Tim has played a vital role in the growth of our company as production manager, and we are extremely excited to see the growth he will pioneer as plant manager,” said Leon Osborne, CEO and Owner of Osborne. Ramsey, age 30, joined the Osborne team in 2008 as a lathe operator and most recently held the position of production manager.

Ramsey will head initiatives that will increase Osborne’s manufacturing capabilities including dimensional stock lumber along with offering an expanding finished goods product. “Tim’s computer expertise aligned with his passion for efficiency has led to increased same day shipping along with lowered inventory levels,” added Osborne. “We look forward to his leadership in aligning our work force, computer systems, and lean management initiatives with our customers growing needs.”
