HELMOND, NETHERLANDS -- Prodim International is the manufacturer of revolutionary 2D and 3D portable measuring devices and associated measurement solutions. Prodim is always closely following the developments in the construction industry and listens to the users of the Proliner measuring devices. This allows Prodim to keep improving the measuring devices and developing new solutions for several industries. At the Ligna in Hannover, May 6-10, 2013, Prodim will introduce one of their successful solutions: Prodim Door and Window Solution.
Measuring with the Proliner is very easy; position the device at a central place and measure a few points per object with the measuring pen. A total measurement can be done in a short time and after the measurement a DXF file is directly available. The measurements can be checked and edited on site with the available CAD functions on the Proliner. The digital drawing can be used to create measurement reports but also to generate order forms for the CNC machine.
The latest developments from Prodim are the new software solution especially for the Door and Window industry.
The Prodim Door & Window Solution
The Prodim Door and window software is the complete solution for fast, easy and accurate surveying of doors and windows.
For a quick and error-free measurement the work preparation can already prepare the measurement by entering all necessary project and door specific information in the host software, such as rotation, hinge types, lock types, decking etc.
This project file is then forwarded to the Proliner so the employee has all the data directly digital available. During the measurement, he can check if the entries correspond to the practical situation. It is also possible to check whether the frame meets the specifications, to avoid problems during fitting the doors.
After the measurement, all data are read into the host software, so that the measurement reports and barcodes can be printed. On the basis of the measurement report the work preparation can easily see if the purchased gross doors are suitable for the measurement. If necessary, the work preparation can make changes, without the need to re-measure.
When all data are complete, the doors within the project can be very easily converted to CNC programs. Because the activities have moved from the job site to the factory, the doors are produced under optimal conditions. The optimum working conditions, proper tools and the fully automated process make it possible to deliver excellent quality.
Since 1995 Prodim has dedicated herself to improve and facilitate the production processes for fabricators around the world with the Proliner Principle.
Prodim, which stands for Production Improvement, focuses on providing full industry solutions. Prodim aims to greatly simplify processes through use of 2D or 3D digital measurement methods where needed in combination with added software.
The Proliner principle is very simple: measuring with a wire. The Proliner® has a measuring head that can be rotated in every direction and has a wire that can be stretched out for several meters. At the end of the wire is a metal measuring pen. With this measuring pen you can simply mark the relevant points. These points are directly translated into a digital DXF CAD file. With the Proliner you can measure straight, curved and very complex shapes in an instant. You can measure any object in horizontal, vertical or slanting position. The digital drawing can be used to operate your CNC-machine, to print or cut your plots or as a base for your design.
But the Proliner principle is more, besides being fast, user-friendly and accurate, it stands for reliable and lasting. Clients who bought the Proliner 10 years ago still use the Proliner every day to full satisfaction. Besides measuring, the Proliner principle is used for quality control and layout work.
The 2D solution is used for measuring flat surfaces, for example a countertop in a kitchen, floors, templates and doors. The 2D solution rests on the technique and knowledge of 3D measuring only the data obtained is projected and published in 2D.
The 3D solution is versatile and used for curved glass, curved ship decks, vehicle interiors, staircases, renovation and restoration of boat covers.
