ORGATEC looks set to be another resounding success in 2014. Even though there are still 15 months to go before the next leading international trade fair for Modern Office & Facility is held in Cologne from 21st to 25th October 2014, the preparations are in full swing. Many companies have confirmed their participation in the trade fair since the customer acquisition process began in May 2013. “In view of the large number of participants that have registered to date, we are optimistic about ORGATEC 2014”, states Frank Haubold, Vice President Trade Fair Management at Koelnmesse. The next ORGATEC will once again have 105,000 square metres of exhibition space. However, it will occupy a slightly different range of halls. In addition to occupying Halls 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10.2, the trade fair will be housed in Hall 11.2 instead of Hall 10.1.
According to a recent Fraunhofer Institute study, the working world will primarily be shaped by three trends in the future: the great demand for flexible forms of work, the selection of each day’s workplace at short notice and the need to achieve a healthy work-life balance. From 21st to 25th October 2014, ORGATEC will present holistic solutions and comprehensive concepts from all the areas associated with work and life in the office. Leading national and international manufacturers from the areas of furnishing, flooring, acoustics, lighting and media and conference technology will present themselves in Cologne. In response to the increasingly networked and mobile nature of the working environment, the trade fair will feature ORGATEC Mobile, which will focus on the mobile world of work and provide pioneering ideas and solutions for meeting the growing demand for flexible forms of work.
New team of experts for ORGATEC
Since January 2013, Stefan Kokkes, 41, has been responsible for ORGATEC as its project manager. In 2001, Kokkes became Director International Affairs and Guest Events at Feria Valencia. He has extensive international expertise in the areas of sales, marketing and trade fair management. Stephanie Josst has been the ORGATEC contact partner for the media since June 2013. Josst previously worked for almost four years at Messe Stuttgart, where she served as the spokesperson for a variety of trade fair projects. Another new member of the ORGATEC team is Communications Manager Corinna Mülstegen, who is responsible for the fair’s advertising activities.
High percentage of visitors from abroad with substantial decision-making authority
As a provider of ideas for the international furnishing sector for offices and office facilities, ORGATEC presents the industry’s premiere products, product innovations and design studies every two years. “The success of the event in 2012 demonstrated that ORGATEC is the world’s leading fair for the international furnishing sector for offices and office facilities,” says Haubold. Around 50,000 visitors from 123 countries came to Cologne in October 2012 in order to obtain a comprehensive overview of the trends and innovations in the global furnishing sector for offices and office facilities. A total of 622 companies from 35 countries presented their services and product solutions on 105,000 square metres of exhibition space in the Cologne trade fair halls.
Benefit from the early-bird discount
All companies that wish to obtain an attractive stand location at ORGATEC 2014 early on will be able to benefit from the ORGATEC early-bird discount until 30th November 2013. The discount reduces the price per square metre to €164 (the price rises to €174 on 1st December 2013, and to €189 on 1st April 2014).
