Neumarkt/Cologne – During this period Pfleiderer is presenting its new Duropal-HPL product development "XTreme". Following consistent development work the wood-based panel manufacturer has worked on this surface with its special look and feel. This can be combined with virtually all 300 decors in the Pfleiderer range and has the added benefit of being very easy to clean. Pfleiderer will be demonstrating this at the Interzum trade fair in Cologne (Hall 06.1, Stand D010 E019). From 5th to 8th May 2015, the company will be presenting Duropal-HPL XTreme there in fashionable matt.

No chance for grease and finger marks

"Even greasy dirt can be removed from this surface effortlessly" says Reinhold Hinterhölzl, who is responsible for HPL and Elements product management at Pfleiderer: "The same applies to finger marks, although they remain invisible on Duropal-HPL XTreme anyway." This is by no means a matter of course for a matt surface, explained the expert: "Until now a surface that is easy to maintain and is even resistant to chemicals has only been achieved at the expense of its look and feel." This is not the case with Duropal-HPL XTreme.

Duropal-HPL XTreme makes "velvety soft" worktops possible

This is not the case with Duropal-HPL XTreme. Yet by merely looking at it you wouldn't know just how robust this surface is. "It appears incredibly warm and soft", says Hinterhölzl: "And that's precisely how it feels too." XTreme, with its new kind of electron beam hardened functional layer offers all the properties of an HPL surface. It even makes a deep matt texture for highly used worktops possible. "And post-forming is also no problem at all for this premium class HPL quality", explains Hinterhölzl. Jointlessly laminated, XTreme is available in all the usual profile variants – even as "Quadra Profile".

More depth of colour for around 300 decors

Apart from this, Duropal-HPL XTreme achieves incomparable colour intensity – especially with decors which contain metallic effects. And where mother of pearl effects are present the effect XTreme achieves is simply overwhelming, says Hinterhölzl: "Visitors to Interzum will be fascinated by what XTreme does with our decors!"
