Online Auction of Woodworking Tools Concludes June 26

NASHVILLE - Woodworking tools -- ranging from a giant sliding saw to dozens of bits, clamps and drills -- are being sold in an online auction that will conclude Wednesday, June 26, with McLemore Auction Company marketing the equipment and managing the sale.

"It's quite possible that much of this equipment will sell for a fraction of its retail value, and this may be the only chance some hobbyists or cabinet shops will ever have to obtain tools of this quality," said Will McLemore, president of the auction company.

"All of this equipment belonged to the well known Deslauriers Company in Franklin, Tenn., which made cabinets, furniture and other products since 1976. Because the business's success depended on the reliability of the tools, Deslauriers invested wisely in quality," said McLemore.

The centerpiece of the auction is the 2003 Thermwood 42 CNC Router with 91,000 Supercontrol, but many of the tools are equally well suited to hobby woodworkers. Among them are belt and drum sanders, Porter Cable routers, shapers, a DeWalt portable planer, Bessey clamps, nailers, table saws and drills.

Other equipment aimed more at professional shops includes an Altendorf sliding table saw, a Holzher Sprint edgebander, a 24" Grizzly band saw and an Allis-Chalmers forklift.

Individuals may inspect the equipment from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, at 1127 Harpeth Industrial Court, Franklin, Tenn. Bids may be entered at www.mclemoreauction.com. The auctions will close out beginning at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 26.

McLemore Auction Company, based in Nashville, conducts online and live auctions of real estate and personal property throughout much of the United States. Individuals seeking additional information may contact the company at 615-517-7675.
