CHICAGO - The 2013 NAFCD + NBMDA Annual Convention was a huge success with more than 700 distributors and manufacturers in attendance from the building material, cabinetry and woodworking industries. Business connections were developed between distributor attendees and supplier partners on and off the exhibit hall floor. Attendees took advantage of many opportunities to foster new and existing relationships at the event held at the Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Chicago, Ill.

"From record high attendance numbers to exceptional presentations by business experts, the event provided quality time for attendees to connect with business partners and discover new ways to grow their business."

The highly rated educational presentations featured a notable roster of thought leaders.

• Known as Mr. Accountability, Walter Bond provided insights for the skills needed to develop personal accountability and confidence to reach success.

• Brian Beaulieu, one of the country's most informed economists, led a presentation that analyzed short- and long-term global economic forecasts and provided insights on economic indicators that executives should follow.

The annual convention also included a sold-out table top which featured more than 90 exhibiting companies, with 24 exhibiting for the first-time. This impressive exhibitor response shows the strength in the market. Suppliers present sought to solidify distributor relationships and bring their products to market.

The 2014 NAFCD + NBMDA Annual Convention will take place November 18-20 at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel, Dallas, Texas.
