LivingKitchen 2015: Motivated for Round Three

• Registration forms out – first definite bookings already in

• Conditions could hardly be better for a successful third event

• "The AMK stands wholeheartedly behind LivingKitchen in Cologne"

The registration forms have been sent and Koelnmesse has already received the first bookings: a thoroughly promising start for a strong LivingKitchen 2015. Since the first event in January 2011, the concept – a combination of business platform and innovation show – has convinced exhibitors and visitors alike: optimal conditions for a successful third edition of the international trade fair format. Frank Hüther, Managing Director of AMK – the trade and service association for the entire kitchen industry – and his designated successor Kirk Mangels are equally convinced and emphasise that "The AMK and its more than 125 member companies stand wholeheartedly behind LivingKitchen in Cologne."

In many respects, LivingKitchen 2013 is still very much a talking point – for most of those who took part, the new trade fair format for kitchen furniture, built-in appliances and related items was a major milestone for the current business year. Initiated in 2010 as a result of close collaboration between Koelnmesse and the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Die Moderne Küche e.V. (AMK), the international kitchen event has triumphed in the international trade fair scene and is now already entering its third round. The close partnership between the trade fair corporation, the relevant associations and the industry is likewise a very important factor in its success.

AMK's Managing Director Frank Hüther and his designated successor Kirk Mangels agree that "The AMK and its more than 125 member companies stand wholeheartedly behind LivingKitchen in Cologne. We are firmly convinced that the world's strongest kitchen industry needs a world-leading trade fair in Germany. Koelnmesse as the organiser and the combination of LivingKitchen and the imm cologne have already proved their worth in 2011 and 2013. The success so far shows that the trade fair is well on its way to achieving its ambitious goals and that LivingKitchen 2015 will even top the previous events. It goes without saying that the AMK will be present in Cologne in 2015 as well."

The registration forms for LivingKitchen 2015 were sent out in early November. In other words, the starting gun for the third edition of the international kitchen event has already been fired. And it didn't take long for the first responses to start coming in. "Many participants, especially the major market players, had already signalled they would be taking part again immediately after the second event in January. Now we've received the first definite bookings," says LivingKitchen Project Manager Eike Fuchs. "That's a good indication that, since the second edition at the very latest, the concept of a business platform for the global kitchen sector combined with a trend and innovation show for trade visitors and consumers has successfully convinced both the kitchen furniture industry and the appliance manufacturers."

Even at the premiere, the innovative LivingKitchen concept was a complete success. The successful mix of product presentations and events meets with an enthusiastic reception not just from exhibitors themselves but from trade visitors and consumers too. More than anything else, it creates an appetite for a new kitchen. Together with the imm cologne, the premium event in January attracted almost 100,000 trade visitors (42 % of them from abroad) and over 42,000 consumers in search of inspiration.

As at the previous two events, LivingKitchen will again be held in the centrally located halls 4.1, 4.2 and 5.2 to coincide with the imm cologne. One important goal for Koelnmesse is to attract an even higher share of international visitors to the 2015 event.

Exhibitors can take advantage of a tiered early bird discount – the best conditions are available for registrations received by 31st December 2013. A look at the countdown on the website shows how long they still apply.

"Despite the fact that the current figures for the furniture industry aren't all that convincing, we're confident that we'll have a strong LivingKitchen event again in 2015," says Eike Fuchs. "We're already talking to a great many companies and will be intensifying those talks at the imm cologne 2014. We're expecting a fantastic LivingKitchen 2015."
