La-Z-Boy Introduces New Products & Styles At High Point Market

HIGH POINT, N.C. – La-Z-Boy continues to help consumers “Live Life Comfortably ®” as it debuts new styles of great looking reclining and stationary sofas and chairs, available in hundreds of leathers and fabrics, at the fall 2012 High Point Furniture Market.

“Each new piece we introduce is carefully selected to ensure we have a full range of beautiful products that fit every style,” said Paula Hoyas, Vice President of Merchandising for La-Z-Boy. “We’re extremely proud of our diverse product offering and are confident that with over 900 fabric and leather choices, consumers can find that perfect piece or collection for their home.”

October 2012 New Product Introductions – Reclining Sofas and Chairs

The Emerson reclining chair is styled in a classic aesthetic reminiscent of a traditional and handsome club-chair. With arms that provide a modern twist on the classic cigar arm style, the design features nail head details along the frame and footrest.

The new James and Hayes reclining chairs complement the company’s extremely well received reclining sofa and loveseat pieces that were introduced last season. They also have the option of power recline to meet consumer demand.

The Briggs reclining sofa and loveseat is the perfect combination of traditional influence and transitional styling. The soft rolled arms and moderate shirring on the back and footrest differentiates its unique styling and its matching recliner completes the vignette.

Jace features style and design details that appeal to today’s motion consumer and offers the comfort of bucket chaise seating and a tall back complete with pillow-top arms. It is also available in power.

Featuring La-Z-Boy Ultra Plush™ seat construction, Kyle looks great and is an ideal choice as it provides versatility with both fabric and leather options. Complete with a box-border back and arm pads, the product has a clean contemporary look.

Consumers searching for comfortable, wide body seat widths will find it with the Dawson. Its commercial styling, modular connectors, reclining chaise, standard-gauge top-stitching and power option will make it extremely popular in today’s motion category.

October 2012 New Product Introductions – Stationary Sofas and Chairs

Diana is a more sophisticated and stylish take on the traditional sleeper sofa. Available in twin, full and queen sizes, the piece is ideal for the consumer who frequently has guests and wants to provide a comfortable and deluxe sleeping option. La-Z-Boy’s new memory foam mattress is available as an upgrade.

For the consumer who is looking for the most up-to-date style with a surprisingly affordable price point, the Kennedy is the perfect fit. Its smaller scale and narrow arm profile make it extremely apartment/condo friendly. Matching sectional pieces are also available to help maximize space and aid in versatility of room configurations. Welt trim adds that extra finishing touch and creates a lovely band along the bottom front and side rails.

For a more romantic look, consumers can look to the Malina. With gorgeous tufting on the back and bolster pillows, Malina reflects one of today’s hottest trends. It boasts a beautiful sweetheart back and front rails, delicately turned legs and La-Z-Boy’s premier construction – all at an affordable price point.

A new addition to the La-Z-Boy Premier stationary collection, the Kinsley is elegantly styled with shelter-type petite track arms, beautiful nail head trim, and exposed wooden feet. This stunning silhouette provides just the right touch of trend with classic detailing.

The Skyline sofa is a popular option for consumers seeking large furniture pieces. Perfect for family and living rooms, the Skyline features heavy-gauge topstitching accentuated by the popular waterfall design on the seats. The double-piping treatment on the seats and backs compliments the clean lines of the pad-over track arm.

The contemporary styling of the Knox, coupled with its smaller scale, makes it perfect for city dwellers with limited space. The flare of the arm is a noteworthy design detail and a wood base access is featured on all sides. This piece makes a statement and can be customized to fit any environment.

The Alexa stationary chair provides a transitional style with clean design lines, sloping track arms with welt trim and delicately tapered legs. At only 30” wide, it’s scaled a bit smaller and perfect in pairs. Consumers will also love its matching ottoman.

With a flared rolled arm and ample scale, Aria is the perfect correlate. As a piece that can fit into any environment, the customizable chair complements several La-Z-Boy sofa styles and brings the design of a room together seamlessly.

All of the latest La-Z-Boy furniture will be on display to the trade October 13th through October 18th at the La-Z-Boy showroom located in the Furniture Plaza Building in High Point, N.C.
