Koelnmesse is a member of 'Furniture Club – Made in Germany e.V'

Cologne, Germany - Strong partners provide mutual support: Koelnmesse has signed a sustaining membership contract with “Furniture Club – Made in Germany e.V.”, an association founded in 2009 and relaunched at the imm cologne 2012. The association currently has 12 German member companies, whose aim is to use the joint platform to establish and expand international activities. For the first time, we will be utilising the synergies at the Rooms Moscow trade fair taking place in May 2013.

With its three events – the imm cologne, the LivingKitchen and the interzum – Koelnmesse will from now on be supporting Furniture Club. “This young association is pursuing the same aims as we are with our living and interiors trade fairs: in the future, the objective is to turn the sector’s export activities into concrete market successes for the companies involved. And our internationally-oriented trade fairs are designed to do just that, which is why we are able to jointly exploit synergies”, explains Frank Haubold, Vice President Trade Fair Management, describing the collaboration. “Here, I would like to mention the Rooms Moscow trade fair in May 2013 as a concrete example, an event that we are currently developing in close collaboration with the Russian organiser Media Globe Krokus. This event is the first opportunity to actively join forces with Furniture Club, with the aim of providing decisive impulses and ideas for tapping into the Russian market.”

The agreement between Furniture Club and Koelnmesse is based on an exclusive cooperation covering living and interiors trade fairs. Furthermore, Koelnmesse will be named in all the association’s activities and will be involved in studies, workgroups and events. In return, the members of Furniture Club can look forward to the support of the trade fair company at non-German trade fairs. Among others, Furniture Club members include CS schmal, Koinor, Siematic and W. Schillig.

“We are thrilled about working very closely with Koelnmesse from now on – after all, the events organised by the Cologne-based company are all absolutely leading living and interior trade fairs in character, something which is invaluable to our member companies”, comments Mark Niemann, Furniture Club Chairman (www.furnitureclub.de) and Managing Director of Karl W. Niemann GmbH. “We believe that this collaboration will in future be extremely fruitful for both our members and the Koelnmesse itself.”

The next interzum will take place from: 13th – 16th May 2013
