Kimball Office Showcases Lounge, Seating Solutions

JASPER, Ind.— Kimball(R) Office will showcase flexible, certified-green lounge and seating solutions in Booth 601, during the National Institute of Government Purchasing (NIGP) Forum and Expo, Aug. 26 to 27, in Orlando, Fla.

“Government purchasers are always striving to update the workplace with products that have minimal impact on the environment and adapt to the changing ways in which business is being conducted,” said Karl Schrumpf, director, government sales for Kimball Office. “As a long-standing advocate for sustainability, 100 percent of our products meet American National Standard Institute/Business and Institutional Furniture Manufactures Association (ANSI/BIFMA) level(R) 2 or 3 certification.”

Kimball Office’s display during the show will demonstrate how the company’s products can transition seamlessly from private offices to open plans, reception areas and conference rooms. Products on display include the following:

•Villa(TM) — With the ability to create free-form lounge configurations, Villa includes privacy lounges (highbacks), youth units, tables and power/data options. Originally based on the idea of building blocks, the highback option can divide space into separate meeting, semi-private or social spaces, while maintaining the look and feel of an open setting. The highback is available with one- or two-seat units and one-seat corner units. Villa Youth includes benches, ottomans and one- and two-seat options without arms. All pieces can gang together and be linked to full-size Villa units. A full range of upholstery and leather choices is available with the option of having backs, arms and seats upholstered separately to delineate space and design preferences through color. Villa is Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) Indoor Advantage(TM) Gold and ANSI/BIFMA level 2 certified. Tables are certified to ANSI/BIFMA level 3.

•Itsa(TM) — Itsa fulfills the need for a simple, functional and stylish task chair that fits petite users, taller users and everyone in between while unifying an organization’s aesthetic. The mesh backrest is now available in seven colors: Cobalt, Jet, Lime, Mandarin, Slate, Tango and Tawny. The breathable, dual-sided mesh contours cradle the user’s spine while offering lumbar support. Itsa can be specified with or without arms, a rounded or square seat, pneumatic seat-height adjustment, synchro-tilt and knee-tilt control, tension adjustment and seat slider options. Itsa can be upholstered in standard colors and be ready to ship in five days, or it can be customized with hundreds of other fabrics from Alliance upholstery partners. Itsa is SCS Indoor Advantage Gold and ANSI/BIFMA level 2 certified.

•Poly(TM) — Whether arranged randomly or with colorful purpose, Kimball Office’s new Poly line of multi-purpose stackable side seating marries practicality and distinctive design. Poly’s uniform shape and size make it easy to stack, move and store, but its breathable mesh back and seat make it characteristically appealing. The 100 percent polyester mesh is available in five colors: Big Sky, Black Tie, Crimson, Tangerine and Kiwi. Available individually or in sets of four, Poly chairs are compact and can be stacked up to 30 high on an available transport dolly or up to 10 high on the floor. Their sled-base, polished aluminum legs come standard with black plastic glides that can be used to gang adjacent chairs. The chairs are available in as little as five days through Kimball Office’s quick ship program, Kwik Office. Poly meets or exceeds applicable ANSI/BIFMA level 2 and Technical Bulletin 133 (TB133) standards.

•Priority(TM) — This unique benching option is offered in 6-inch increments, without encroachment, similar to a panel system. The undersurface table support enables long spans – up to 15 feet between legs – eliminates redundant leg support and connects back-to-back or with returns for added workspace. Priority carries a robust electrical power/data system, which conceals wires and hook-ups and can support high volumes of technology. Dual frames can accommodate 24-, 30- or 36-inch dual tops and 48- or 60-inch single tops; back-to-back frames can accommodate privacy screens, shared shelving and returns. Moveable privacy screens that adjust in 1-inch increments from 12- to 16-inches are also available. A unique stanchion creates visual privacy and offers options for acoustical, tackable or slat tiles as it supports overhead storage or shared shelving. With five options available to change the tables’ height — an incremental pin adjust, click, crank handle or electric single or dual stage memory, with three to four settings — Priority’s height-adjustable tables address users’ needs for increased ergonomic comfort and workplace versatility. Priority is SCS Indoor Advantage and ANSI/BIFMA level 3 certified.
