GREEN BAY, WIS. — Dick Resch, KI chief executive officer, announced today that KI will begin construction on a $3.3 million expansion project for its Green Bay manufacturing facility. This expansion will add 100,200 square feet of manufacturing, shipping, receiving and warehousing space to its current plant, allowing it to reduce costs and streamline efficiencies. The project is expected to be completed this June.

“We’re excited to expand our facilities in Green Bay,” said Dick Resch, chief executive officer, KI. “Not only will this expansion reduce our manufacturing costs, increase our capabilities and extend our efficiencies, but it will also position KI for future employment growth and allow us to be more responsive to the ever-changing needs of our customers.”

KI’s Green Bay facility manufactures contract seating and educational furniture solutions. This plant is one of nine manufacturing facilities that KI operates nationwide, two others of which are located in Wisconsin in Bonduel and Manitowoc. Together, these nine manufacturing facilities build a combination of contract furniture solutions, including movable wall, tables, chairs, desks, healthcare seating,lounge seating, educational furniture, files and storage, workstation systems, and more.

The construction on the new Green Bay facility, contracted by Bayland Buildings, Inc., will start early February with a target completion date of June. KI will host a groundbreaking ceremony with local executives, including the mayor of Green Bay, Bellevue village president, Brown County executive and the president of Bayland Buildings, on Thursday, February 2 at 8:30 a.m. outside KI’s manufacturing plant, located at 1330 Bellevue Street, Green Bay.
