JASPER, IN – "Rumors are confirmed” read the headlines as a group of men skilled in wood manufacturing announced the establishment of the new Jasper Office Furniture Company. “Immediate success” was predicted. The company, whose name was later shortened to Jofco, lived up to expectations and continues to do so today. This year, Jofco celebrates 90 excellent years in the office furniture industry.
Currently in its fourth generation of privately held family ownership, Jofco’s manufacturing and business values still persist. Direct and personal involvement provides the foundation for the success of the company.
President and CEO Bill Rubino is a familiar face throughout Jofco as he actively participates in office projects and visits employees on the shop floor. His interest in the company is evident and helps drive a long-term commitment to its independence in the industry.
Jofco, which is known for its extensive casegood offering, also manufactures seating, occasional tables, and healthcare solutions. Jofco’s furniture and seating products are used in financial institutions, professional offices, educational environments, and manufacturing offices and organizations that prefer high quality and the beauty of natural wood furnishings.
In 2003, Jofco transformed its logo and corporate image to reflect a progression into the A&D market. The first products developed to represent this direction were Collective Space and Lounge. Since then the Collective series has grown to provide private office, conferencing, and collaborative applications.
In 1999, Jofco became the exclusive U.S. importer and distributor of office products from Frezza, the second largest manufacturer of executive office furniture in Italy. Jofco and Frezza still maintain a strong partnership, providing casegoods and walls to the U.S. market.
Jofco’s year-long 90th Anniversary celebration will continue at the 2012 NeoCon World Trade Fair, where it will debut its new Ziva lounge and Frezza’s ONO casegoods.
