COLOGNE, GERMANY -- The magazine innovation of interior, which will be published four months before the beginning of interzum 2013, is specifically geared towards architects and designers. The reason for this is simple. Through its publication in time for the international furniture show, imm cologne, it reaches the desired target group and provides the latter with the opportunity to find out more in advance about relevant topics in the fields of innovative and intelligent materials and new ideas in the piazza innovation of interior.

Quadratic, practical, inspiring: in recent years the magazine innovation of interior has already demonstrated its high standards in terms of content and layout with this formula. The magazine in the format 25 x 25 cm is published as a print medium analogously to the piazza innovation of interior on which innovative materials will be presented during interzum 2013. The piazza in Hall 4.2 is a unique offer to designers, architects and product developers and has long since become established as an industry meeting place. In addition, interzum boasts about 1,450 exhibitors from over 60 countries in the three product segments “Materials & Nature,” “Function & Components” and “Textile & Machinery” and as a result a comprehensive spectrum of novelties and innovations in the furniture supply sector. One of the special focus areas in the innovation of interior magazine is the top subject smart materials. Attention here is on unusual materials which open up new creative possibilities to architects and designers. Digital printing and intelligent textiles are also presented in the magazine along with current projects of renowned architects and designers. Kinzo, Blocher Blocher Partners, Frank O. Gehry and Karim Rashid are among those highlighted here. Interviews with famous architectural firms like Scholten and Baijings, the designer Luca Nichetto and young architects like Christine Detering from Architopia round off the contents.

The bilingual magazine will be available hot off the presses in the interzum lounge during imm cologne.
