Homag Group to Show airTec's Seamless Edgebanding at IWF 2014GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- Seamless, zero edge edgebanding on work surfaces, cabinet doors and other components is revolutionizing edge technologies around the world. However, equipment and process costs have been extremely high and prohibitive to many manufacturers, denying them business opportunities in a growing market...until now.

HOMAG Group’s airTec now offers an innovative, affordable zero edge result by using compressed super-heated, high velocity air to activate the adhesive layer. With this technology, air is propelled through a nozzle as the edgebanding material passes through the magazine, fusing the material to the panel edge. airTec systems are integrated into existing control systems eliminating redundant processes and reducing operator work time.

•Significantly more affordable, requiring up to 80% less initial investment

•Can be used on all laser-suitable edging types with no special material required

•Zero glue line

•50% higher heat resistance

•100% system integration allowing for simpler and more effective operator control (including temperature and pressure adjustments)

Stiles Machinery will exhibit the Homag Group airTec and other technology at IWF 2014 in Exhibitor Hall B, Booths 5053 and 5135.
