COLUMBUS, Ohio - Hexion Inc. (“Hexion” or the “Company”) invites attendees of the Ligna Trade Show to Hall 27, booth G17 as the company publicly displays its complete line of formaldehyde, forest product resin, and wax emulsion solutions. The Ligna tradeshow, May 11 to May 15, in Hannover, Germany, will also be the first opportunity for the Forest Products Division to exhibit under the Hexion name since the Company announced it was changing names to Hexion Inc. from Momentive Specialty Chemicals, effective January 15, 2015.

In addition to the name change, Hexion also announced a number of strategic growth initiatives, including developing new formaldehyde facilities in North America and South America.

The expansion of Hexion’s Forest Products business continues on track through the construction of new formaldehyde plants in Geismar, Louisiana and Luling, Louisiana with the goal of coming online in the fourth quarter of 2015 and first quarter of 2016, respectively. Hexion also expects to open a formaldehyde expansion and resin infrastructure at its current site in Curitiba in Parana, Brazil in the third quarter of 2015.
