Today most people carry their favourite music with them all the time and wherever they go; usually stored in our smartphone, tablet or notebook.
And it is always accessible; when we jog, via Bluetooth in the car and of course at home in our own four walls or others’ homes. Especially smart are the trendy Häfele sound systems 105 und 420 which magically turn furniture into entertainment centres. They are equipped with a Bluetooth receiver and up to four sound transducers (exciter speakers). Häfele developed these systems especially for the installation in custom and mass-produced furniture. Exciter speakers turn hard surfaces such as wood, glass or metal into a sound carrier, which reproduces music and voices in surprisingly good sound quality.
The sound products from Häfele are full of surprises. They are installed easily and quickly, visibly or invisibly in cabinets, sideboards, tables and other furniture around the house or commercial environments. Whether it’s in the bathroom, the kitchen, living room or kids’ room, in medical clinics, offices or hotels, the ingenious sound systems from Häfele add an intriguing new dimension and a marketable point of differentiation to furniture. Music selection and volume are conveniently controlled from any Bluetooth enabled device, such as smartphone, tablets or laptops.
CDs were yesterday’s preferred medium. Today music is transferred digitally, for example via iTunes, Amazon or Musicload to name just a few and music is often listened to via online streaming providers such as Spotify, Simfy or Napster. Streaming offers the benefit of not having to dedicate valuable storage space on electronic devices, yet having instant access to a vast music library.
Häfele’s sound system allows cabinet makers and manufacturers to build interesting furniture for music-loving clients. It is another opportunity to create a unique positioning in the markets and generate an additional revenue stream.
Häfele sound systems 105/420 – invisible installation in furniture
Sound systems 105 and 420 from Häfele’s own development lend themselves perfectly for invisible installations in furniture. Both draw power from Häfele’s 12 V Loox driver via a plug and play connection. The clever sound system 105 One Box solution consists of a single component which integrates the Bluetooth receiver and the sound transducer/exciter speakers. The supplied cable for the Loox driver connection takes care of the power supply. The sound system 105 is a persuasive option featuring a very shallow case measuring only 66 x 25 x 140 mm and a quick fixing system.
It is simply screwed on. Both systems are also perfect economical retrofitting solutions for bathrooms, kitchens, doctor clinics, offices and law offices, to name just a few examples.
Häfele’s sound system 420 with its up to four sound transducers can be installed wherever stereo sound is required. Every additional sound transducer increases the volume in combination with a larger surface area.
Sound system 420 is also available with an integrated FM radio and remote control. It is pre-assembled and can even be mounted in small hollow spaces.
The 12 Volt built-in audio system
The 12 Volt audio system includes a self-sufficient RDS built-in radio with remote control, a Bluetooth receiver or a docking station with an integrated Bluetooth interface. The speakers are mounted in space-saving flush mounted boxes; visibly in the furniture or now exciter speaker solutions can be installed invisibly. All components can be combined and are cleverly devised for a 12 Volt platform. The globally certified Loox driver acts as the power source.
Light and sound can be drawn from one driver. This represents significant added value for every piece of furniture in every room.
The attractive white design of the RDS built-in radio with remote control features nine pre-set station storage spots so that favourite stations can be conveniently selected. The small radio has a frequency range from 87.5 to 107.9 MHz, and features an alarm as well as a sleep function rendering the old fashioned alarm clock on the night stand obsolete.
Smartphone docking station with Bluetooth receiver
The smartphone docking station with the integrated Bluetooth receiver offers additional convenience and flexibility. The high quality charging station comes equipped with the new Apple Lightning plug for iPhones as well as a micro USB plug for all other smartphones. The smartphone is simply placed in the dock giving it a safe and secure charging base in the room. The additional integrated Bluetooth receiver ensures mobility and allows the phone to be in use while the music continues to play.
Clever connections and system expansions
The RDS built-in radio can be connected with a Bluetooth receiver via an intuitive touch control or the smartphone docking station so that one can listen to music via Bluetooth in addition to the radio via mobile devices. To match the system, 12 Volt speakers for furniture installation in flush mounted boxes is available also. They are easily connected to all other 12 Volt audio components with an easy plug and play connection. Should the speakers be completely invisible the Häfele exciter speakers may be used.
