G-P Engineered Wood Products To Be Distributed by U.S. Lumber

ATLANTA -- U.S. Lumber is adding Georgia-Pacific engineered wood products (EWP) to its already broad specialty-oriented building products offering. U.S. Lumber is working to finalize terms with Georgia-Pacific, expected to go into effect on Feb. 13, 2012, which will provide for U.S. Lumber to supply dealers with a complete line of Georgia-Pacific engineered wood products, including Wood I Beam joists, GP Lam laminated veneer lumber (LVL), Fiberstrong rim board and laminated beams.

"We are very pleased to be adding Georgia-Pacific engineered lumber to the U.S. Lumber product offering," said Lawrence Newton, CEO of U.S. Lumber. "This addition broadens our commitment to serve our customers by distributing the best products in the industry."

These products will be available out of the U.S. Lumber distribution centers in Atlanta, GA, Greenville, SC (excluding North Carolina), and Nashville, TN. Dealers served from these branches will be able to buy full units of material or job lot quantities.

"This is a great opportunity to work with U.S. Lumber and we believe our combined resources will give dealers the perfect solution for their engineered wood product requirements," said Paul Watterson, general manager for Georgia-Pacific Wood Products. "Their experience selling specialty wood products makes them a great fit within our EWP strategy."
