Frank Miller Lumber Hires Mark Hoffman as Vice President of Sales

UNION CITY, Ind. - Frank Miller, the premier provider of exceptional quartersawn and plain sawn hardwoods, announces the hiring of Mark Hoffman as vice president of sales. Hoffman is responsible for directing the marketing and sales activities of the organization. Additionally, he will assist in developing and maintaining company relationships with vendors, distributors or other external organizations, and work with the design and architecture communities to implement premium hardwoods in designs and projects.

"We're pleased to have Mark on board," said Dan Hackett, president and CEO of Frank Miller. "His background in leadership, decision making, and sales and executive management will significantly expand our existing strengths and support us in creating new strategies."

The hiring of Hoffman coincides with the upcoming 2012 National Hardwood Lumber Association (NHLA) Annual Convention in Chicago, to be held September 12-15, where Hackett, Hoffman and other representatives of Frank Miller will connect with key industry leaders.

"We trust Mark will play an essential role in Frank Miller's continued growth into a thriving, global enterprise," added Hackett.

Hoffman comes to Frank Miller from MeasureNet Technology, where, as director of sales, he was responsible for all business, marketing and sales activities for networked data collection instruments used in university chemistry labs across North America. Previously, he held positions ranging from management to control systems engineering. Throughout his career, Mark's technical and business skills promoted his success as a cross-functional team leader, bridging production, business and engineering departments.

Hoffman earned his MBA in business management from Pepperdine University and a B.S. in electrical engineering from DeVry University.
