DANBURY, CT -- Ethan Allen's Belle table earned a top spot in Interior Design magazine's sixth annual Best of Year Awards (BoY) competition, an event that showcases outstanding work in product and project design. Hundreds of product entries in more than 40 categories were posted on the magazine's website, where architects and design professionals logged in to cast their votes. The personality-packed Ethan Allen accent table rivaled pieces designed by Glickman Schlesinger Design Office (GSDO), John Houshmand, and Sancal Diseño in the Furniture: Residential/Tables category.

“The Belle table epitomizes what Ethan Allen is about - classic design with a modern perspective. Our Product Development team continually strives to inspire with beautifully crafted, innovative products, and it is an honor to have our work recognized by this esteemed group of industry experts and design professionals,” said Tracy Paccione, vice president of Merchandising for Ethan Allen.

According to Interior Design magazine officials, the InteriorDesign.net voting site in 2011 drew approximately 28,000 unique visitors, and about 65,000 votes were cast. The four submissions in each category that got the most votes became finalists. A jury of leading architects and designers chose the winners from among the finalists in each category. On Dec. 1, 2011, President and Publisher Mark Strauss and Editor in Chief Cindy Allen announced the winners live to the standing-room-only crowd that attended the awards ceremony held at the IAC Building in the New York City. The winners were featured in the December 2011 issue of Interior Design magazine.
