Hannover/Yekaterinburg - LESPROM Ural Professional was staged from 23 to 26 September 2014 by OOO Deutsche Messe RUS, a joint subsidiary of Deutsche Messe and LLC Interregional Exhibition Company-Ural (IEC-Ural). The trade fair ran alongside EXPOMEBEL-Ural, at the Yekaterinburg expo center. This is the main exhibition for furniture, furniture accessories and woodworking machinery in the entire Ural region, which attracts some 6,000 trade visitors to Yekaterinburg.
The 9th International Symposium of Woodworking, consisting of presentations, workshops and conferences – also staged at parallel to these two shows – met with great interest, especially in the talk on “Russo-German Economic Relations and Investment” presented by GERMANY and RUSSIA Consulting,
For the first time at LESPROM URAL, there was a German pavilion featuring 16 entrepreneurs intent on impressing industry professionals with their latest offerings while making use of the event’s prime location as a stepping stone to other segments of the Russian market. In view of the need for new and replacement investment in the Russian furniture and woodworking industries, international investors are in great demand, thus making the show an excellent home base in Russia.
Among the German exhibitors at the group pavilion were renowned firms such as Altendorf, Michael Weinig AG, Holz-Her, LEUCO, LINCK, GreCon, Hundegger, VenJacob Maschinenbau and Vollmer Werke.
Next year’s LESPROM URAL – running from 22 to 25 September – has already been added again to the German federal government’s list of promoted exhibitions abroad.
