Warm and silky, this is how the PerfectSense Matt feels - with a matching look and feel as the decor U702 PM Cashmere shows. In addition, the high-end surface innovation PerfectSense Matt convinces with its nofingerprint properties.

At Interzum 2015, EGGER presents for the first time the new generation of the highest quality matt and high-gloss surfaces.

With the PerfectSense innovation, EGGER raises its melamine-faced boards, as well as the look, feel and robustness of surface textures, to a new quality level. High gloss through PerfectSense Gloss or the no-fingerprints feature on PerfectSense Matt are the first two highlights of this new product category, which celebrates its début at Interzum in Cologne.

At Interzum 2015, the wood-based materials manufacturer EGGER reveals the secret surrounding its latest surface innovation and presents PerfectSense. This new product category represents high-gloss or matt decor boards in premium design using the tried and tested EGGER MDF quality. "With the help of an innovative, sustainable finish, we reach this high quality level, connect visual perfection with a tactile effect, thus following the spirit of the times, and at the same time close a gap in our portfolio", explains Hubert Höglauer, Head of Marketing EGGER Group, the PerfectSense product innovation. "The mirror finish of PerfectSense Gloss impresses with its exceptional high gloss finish, while PerfectSense Matt feels warm and silky, and also stands out thanks to its no-fingerprint feature."

New dimension of high-end surfaces

PerfectSense premium decor boards are much more than a conventional melamine-faced MDF board. Together with Hymmen, EGGER developed its own special coating process with UV technology (CCI - Calender Coating Inert). This innovative method elevates surfaces obtained via industrial processes onto a visual and tactile level that was previously reserved for a few high-end surfaces. With the innovative finish, PerfectSense represents its own category among wood-based material products. In this way, EGGER makes the highest quality surfaces easily available as well as economically interesting.

The innovatively finished surfaces are suitable for high traffic areas and are particularly scratch-resistant and robust. On the one hand, end consumers benefit from these characteristics, as they can enjoy perfect furniture surfaces for a long time, on the other hand, the high stress resistance and strength also provide the industry and craftsmen with security during the treatment and processing of PerfectSense products.

With the inclusion of PerfectSense Gloss and Matt into EGGER’s matching decors and materials, a fabricator has the advantage of being able to use the new high-end surfaces as furniture frontals, and use matching melamine-faced boards in the same décor as carcassing. In addition to the already familiar surface textures, the exact same decors in the premium quality with the new matt and high-gloss PerfectSense surfaces are now also available. Matching ABS edges in gloss and in matt are available in the size 23 x 0.8 mm.

High gloss and depth with PerfectSense Gloss

PerfectSense Gloss is characterised by an exceptional high gloss surface and clearly stands out among other high-gloss surfaces. MDF as a homogeneous core material also positively influences these exceptional characteristics.

With the 2015 Zoom retail collection update in September there are 6 decors available from stock in PerfectSense Gloss and also in the matching decor and material collection from a quantity of 1 in the half-size format. All stock versions have a high-gloss finish on one side. The format 2800 x 2070 x 19 mm ensures a low amount of cutting waste.

The stock range includes 6 decors of this high-gloss premium product. These gloss colours are all in particularly high demand – such as the bright U323 PG Chilli Red. At the same time they make up a broad spectrum, which ranges from the classic W1000 PG Premium White, a beige shade (U104 PG Alabaster) and a cool grey (U763 PG Pearl Grey) through to Black. U999 PG Black shows off the impressive high gloss surface of PerfectSense Gloss particularly well and at the same time covers the demand for black surfaces, which are currently increasingly trendy again. Besides the uni decors, a woodgrain decor is also included in the PerfectSense Gloss range with H3025 PG Macassar. High gloss combined with this exclusive woodgrain decor is particularly well suited for high quality interior designs, for instance in jewellery shops or luxury hotels.

The completely new technology also makes it possible to use high-gloss surfaces where previously it was not feasible due to cost. With PerfectSense Gloss, high quality and durable gloss surfaces become the superior standard.

No traces on PerfectSense Matt

Matt as the contrast trend to high gloss is currently up and coming in the field of exclusive interior design. Especially matt surfaces are associated with high value and are predominantly used in high-end furniture production. The new surface PerfectSense Matt significantly stands out among other matt surfaces thanks to its high quality presentation.

PerfectSense Matt feels warm and silky, with a matching look and feel. Thanks to the high quality, innovative finish, this new surface has no-fingerprint properties. The painful topic of constant removal of fingerprints from furniture fronts is now a matter of the past.

With the 2015 Zoom Update in September, there are 7 decors available from stock in PerfectSense Matt and also in the entire matching decor and material collection from a quantity of 1 in the half-size format. All stock versions have a matt finish on one side. The tried and tested EGGER MDF board is used as a support material. The format

2800 x 2070 x 19 mm ensures a low amount of cutting waste in this case as well.

The choice of decors for PerfectSense Matt in the stock range is strongly based on dominating trends. From the current “Glory of Grey” theme, two cooler shades of grey are included with U708 PM Light Grey and U732 PM Dust Grey as well as two warmer grey shades with U702 PM Cashmere and U727 Stone Grey. In addition to the enduring classic Premium White, black is also celebrating its comeback on the matt surface, doing the best job in highlighting its high quality: The no-fingerprint feature can be perfectly tested on U999 PM Black.
