With ST16 Stucco, a new surface texture in a plaster effect, is available as a laminate and as part of the worktop range.

Just in time for Interzum, EGGER extends the range of coloured core laminate decors. They allow a solid look without visible joints that disturb the look on the end edges and are an exceptional design element for furniture and objects with high design demands.

With the new coloured core laminate, EGGER provides unlimited design freedom. In this way, coloured applications with a solid look can be achieved without visible impact edges and joints. "Architects and fabricators are now able to place accents exactly there were they are wanted. Thanks to the coloured core, the laminate edge can also be highlighted as a design solution", says Hubert Höglauer, Marketing Manager EGGER Group when presenting the new decors for laminates with coloured core.

Flawless and solid look

Regular laminates have a black or brown core. The solid coloured look of the new generation of coloured core EGGER laminates consists of a multi-layered structure of same-coloured impregnated decor papers. "Our laminate with coloured core allows a uniform colour gradient, also on the impact edges. This flawless look is particularly in demand for frequently used worktops and tabletops, cabinet fronts and sides, shelves and door panels – last but not least, in shopfitting and trade fair construction," notes Höglauer.

Coloured core laminate can also be used as edging, and is employed for applications with particularly wide edge surfaces. This is entirely in the spirit of the tried and tested EGGER matching decor and material set, which allows for the use of the same decor across all wood-based core materials.

New trend decors as laminate with coloured core

At Interzum 2015, EGGER presents, in addition to white, five other Uni decors as laminate with coloured core, which will also be available in the retail collection Zoom starting in September 2015. The solid coloured colour pallet includes with U7081 ST9 Solid Light Grey, U7651 ST9 Solid Silver Grey and U9631 ST9 Solid Diamond Grey three grey shades that are EGGER's response on laminate to the current light to dark grey trend. U7021 ST9 Solid Cashmere adds an earthy shade, and with U9991 ST15 Solid Black, an important intense colour shade is included in the decor pallet of laminates with coloured core. The solid coloured laminate range is completed with the already established decor W1001 ST9 Solid Premium White, which is offered additionally in the texture ST30 Gloss Finish. The entire current range has six Uni decors in seven variants. The textures of the solid coloured laminates have their own particular effect in relation with the decors: a warm and soft feel results from the very fine and matt surface ST9 Perfect Matt. It provides Uni decors with a very elegant and naturally attractive effect. ST15 Office on the other hand is a universal surface, which is particularly suitable for intensive uni colours – like for example U9991 Solid Black. For smooth surfaces with a high gloss level and for uni colours – in this case for W1001 Solid Premium White – the texture ST30 Gloss Finish is used.
