COLUMBUS, IN - As the global leader in car seat design and manufacturing, selling more than 5 million car seats each year, Dorel Juvenile Group (DJG) child restraints provide the most effective and advanced means in protecting child passengers.  This is true not only in the event of a crash but also in the unlikely event of a fire.  Recent heightened media coverage, associated with the use of flame retardants in juvenile products, has introduced concerns and confusion to both our customers and the general public.

Therefore we have established internal policies prohibiting the use of potentially toxic brominated compounds and those "Tris" compounds that have been identified as potentially toxic.  As an industry leader in safety, DJG continues to monitor developing regulatory activity and will work proactively to ensure the safety of our products.

We take great care in meeting and exceeding the strict federal and state flammability requirements for juvenile products and whenever possible we find ways to manufacture products as naturally as possible. As additional credible information is presented or regulatory changes take place, our policies and requirements are updated, making it clear that adhering to these policies is not optional.

Through our procedures, research and development DJG's commitment is to provide products that assist in protecting child passengers, families and caregivers from harm and making the world a safer place for children.
