ST. PAUL, MN -- The True North Woods is where our northern, cold-forged, native forests produce a wider variety of unique wood species than the forests of any competing region.

We invite you to learn more about our True North Woods species and their uses and to incorporate our quality, local, sustainable materials into your projects, products, or inventory. In addition to originating locally, many of our True North Woods materials may be sourced as FSC certified product.

To find suppliers of True North Woods materials, visit our website at TrueNorthWoods.com.

True North Woods is also an association organized to stimulate the use of our native northern wood species, to improve opportunities for manufacturers of wood products in our region, and to foster awareness of the value of sustainably managed working forests.

The association was formed in 2003 by a group of primary and secondary manufacturers of wood products located in northern Minnesota, and it has expanded to the region that includes Minnesota and the surrounding states.

The association provides marketing support to its members through its website, TrueNorthWoods.com, online advertising, and direct promotions. Members may use the True North Woods brand in their marketing programs and to promote products composed of native northern wood species. The association also provides access to Forest Stewardship Council chain-of-custody certification through its group certification program for small- to medium-sized firms.

Membership is open to artisans, primary and secondary manufacturers of solid wood products, and affiliated firms that either offer products and services to manufactures or distribute solid wood products.

For additional information, contact True Northwoods at telephone 651-223-5629 or email [email protected].
