BIELEFELD, GERMANY -- It all started with thirteen pioneers: in 1999, the first Danish suppliers exhibited on a joint space at ZOW. Since then, trade professionals in Bad Salzuflen can look forward to regular participation by Danish companies each year – and the international ZOW exhibitors enjoy the sharply-increasing number of trade visitors from the far north. This year, the group of Danish suppliers will be at ZOW for the 15th time. The celebration will take place on February 19 with guests from the business and political worlds.

At the upcoming ZOW, 10 Danish suppliers will exhibit their current product lines for the furniture industry and interior decoration trade at this trade fair. Traditionally, wood fronts and fittings are among the special strengths of the Danish suppliers. And their presence this time is appropriately large: the front manufacturers Front-Z, Ansager, and Dan Modul will be there. The fittings specialists at ZOW are HT Bendix, Furnipart, and Vonsild. Other product groups are represented by the worktop supplier Herning Massivtrae, the sanding systems manufacturer Flex-Trim, the glass specialist Gern Glas, and Linimatic, an expert in cast zinc elements. These companies exhibit on the shared floor space in Hall 20 as well as on stands in Hall 21.

Special Danish expertise

"Product development, high production quality, and appealing design are the seals of quality of furniture production in Denmark. These attributes are also the ones that Danish suppliers use to distinguish themselves from the competition on world markets. Leading companies from Denmark such as Vonsild, HT Bendix, and Front-Z use ZOW in Bad Salzuflen each year as a presentation platform and to demonstrate the broad spectrum of their abilities,“ says Lis Nørgaard of Denmark Business Consulting, Cologne, who serves as an advisor to the group of Danish trade fair participants at all ZOW events worldwide.

The fittings specialist Vonsild from Ryomgaard was among the first Danish ZOW exhibitors. Managing Director Kirsten Vonsild confirms the significance of this trade fair in the East Westphalia furniture cluster for the company: "We have exhibited at ZOW with pleasure for many years. Whenever we are here, business is very good and we always see our customers come back. ZOW is our most important trade fair where we can present our product innovations each year."

Lis Nørgaard: "For Danish suppliers, ZOW is the ideal platform for making and maintaining contacts with the most important German business partners." Seen from the other perspective, the ZOW visit has become part of the annual programme for many Danish furniture manufacturers. And for good reason, as Nørgaard knows: "Germany is second only to Norway as a worldwide sales market for the Danish furniture industry. For manufacturers from Denmark, ZOW offers a compact order event early in the year in the middle of the German core market - and for Danish visitors, it is almost at their doorstep."

On the occasion of the 15th anniversary, the Danish exhibitors will roll out the proverbial red carpet quite literally for all ZOW visitors. And on February 19, there will be an official reception with guests from the worlds of business and politics.
