Quebec Cabinetry Maker Receives Government FundingRIVIERE-DU-LOUP, QUEBEC – The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the Rivière-du-Loup firm Cuisines Concepts Plus Inc. has been awarded $90,000 in repayable financial assistance for a project to increase its productivity and competitiveness.

“The Government of Canada is always ready to support enterprises, like Concepts Plus Inc., whose projects have a positive effect on their development and the maintenance of jobs,” said the Minister.

A growth company, Cuisines Concepts Plus Inc. specializes in the manufacture of high-end kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities. To meet the ever-growing demand, the company needs to raise productivity and, to this end, acquire state-of-the-art equipment and review its manufacturing processes. The new equipment, which will improve throughput, includes a digitally-controlled machining centre, design and production software, hinge installers and a dust extractor.

Cuisines Concept Plus Inc. is part of the Bas-Saint-Laurent enterprises associated with the forest product processing niche. This financial assistance has been awarded through Canada Economic Development’s Community Diversification program.
