Canyon Creek's National Trainer is Now a CAPS

Monroe, WA – Canyon Creek Cabinet Company is pleased to announce that its national trainer Jeannine Laitres, CKD, CBD, has recently received the CAPS (Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist) designation.

Canyon Creek's National Trainer is Now a CAPS“Aging in Place” is one of the fastest growing segments in home remodeling, and the CAPS program was developed by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Remodelers™ Council, in collaboration with the AARP organization.

The CAPS program teaches design professionals the necessary skills to help older adults modify their homes so that they can safely remain in their homes as they age. As part of the training, the program focuses on the unique needs of people over the age of 50, addressing the most common barriers in their homes and designing home remodel solutions.

Jeannine has been with Canyon Creek for over 13 years. In addition to her current role as their national training manager, she heads up the Design Services program that provides 20-20 cabinet designs for customers. Prior to that, she held a key role within the product development team, and was also the customer service manager.
