With IWF 2012 less than two months away, it’s time for you to make your final plans to attend the show. And the CMA will be there in force with plenty of activities and events to enhance your experience in Atlanta. I’d personally encourage you to sign up for as many of them as your schedule allows.
First, on Tuesday August 21, we’ve arranged a private, behind the scenes tour of the Sub Zero/Wolf showroom. It’s a little different than the bus tour than we’ve offered at past versions of IWF. The event will allow CMA members to fly in to Atlanta on Tuesday morning, hop on the MARTA to the Buckhead station, walk two blocks to the event all in time for the 12:30 start time. That means you won’t need to fly in the day before or spend an extra night at the hotel just to attend the CMA bus tour.
The Sub Zero/Wolfe showroom’s interior millwork and casework was entirely outfitted by CMA member Exclusive Woodworking and is the second showroom completed by the Sub Zero - Exclusive Woodworking team. This members-only private tour will include a training session that will provide insight and education as to the use and installation of Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances along with a cooking demonstration / tasting by Chef George. There will also be an in depth slideshow documenting the space transformation from start to finish. We’re excited to present this opportunity to our members and we’re certain that it will be informative, educational and entertaining. But you’ll need to sign up soon, as we are limited to the first 25 members who register for the event. The registration link is located in the CMA members-only forum, or you can contact the CMA office for more information.
The IWF show opens on Wednesday, August 22 and for the next 3 days, we will not only staff a booth on the show floor, but we will be heavily involved in the conference portion of the show. Starting on opening day and through Friday, we will offer three CMA Certification curriculum classes each day, plus another set of sessions are sprinkled throughout the show where you can earn CMA CEU credits toward your certification. More details are in the article below about some specially featured CMA Sessions
Finally, make sure you make one of your first stops at our booth number 1336. You’ll find fellow members there to greet you and answer your questions. It’s a great place to put faces with names and meet friends old and new. We’ll be announcing the winners of the 2012 Wood Diamond awards during the show, and you are invited to attend that press conference. We’ll hold our annual banquet on Thursday evening August 23 after the show closes for the day, and you can sign up for both the banquet and to share some of your time staffing the booth at the CMA website.
